Of course.

Now the other grandma wants them too.

She is on record as saying "I raised my kids, I'm not raising anyone else's" and "I could never adopt them because I could never keep them from their mother" when she was asked if she would take them when they needed a foster home two years ago.

She has seen them twice in those two years.

People are awesome.

Sounds like that grandma might be related to Dude & Dolly's grandma.

Totally sucks!

And there's foster care...it changes in an instant with the strangest things. I'm sorry :-(

It's ok to say that stuff but then when you see your family going into that horrible FOSTER CARE or being put up for adoption (you know, by people who are choosing to love them not getting stuck with them) then you just HAVE to step in and do something. And, by something sometimes I mean the bare minimum to get by in raising "someone else's" kids.

Ugh...maybe she's been talking to Baby's aunt and uncle who repeatedly said they could not take another one...until they were offered some sort of permanency with PG. There should be a "statute of limitations" on these family members jumping into these kid's lives. Praying for you and especially the kids!!

Exactly what we dealt with within our family and the family member won in the contested adoption hearing. People are something else sometimes ...

You do a really nice job expressing your heart and your situation(s). I just scrolled and read your latest posts and I really love what you said about your bio daughter teaching what your adopted daughter needs. So true!We have been foster parents on and off for over 20 years. Our oldest adopted son is going to be twenty five and says he feels like he was born into our family. He was eight when he was adopted. Our adopted daughter is six and was five when she came to us. We were just contacted about our last placements (they went home last May) and asked if we would be interested in taking them as it looks like they will be coming out again sometime soon. I understand all you are talking about when you speak of the three you are keeping tabs on. Hang in there!
