I've been reading the stories about this, too, and struggling with my mixed feelings.
Part of me hopes that this boy really will finally get the parents he wants and needs.
Part of me is heartened to know that so many people were touched into responding to his cry.
But another part of me is furious that he had to stand up there, in person, and (essentially) beg for any one of them to consider it.
And the most cynical part of me of all wonders how many of them will consider adopting one of the many others out there who need someone when they can't have him.
